On May 2, 2026, IISO senior high school students spent an exciting and meaningful day at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, attending the J.League match: Yokohama F. Marinos vs. Mito HollyHock. For many of our students, it was their first time watching a professional football match in one of Japan’s largest stadiums—and the experience was unforgettable.
A Powerful Atmosphere at Japan’s Largest Stadium
From the moment IISO students entered Nissan Stadium, the energy was electric. The chants of supporters, the rhythm of drums, and the intensity of the players on the pitch created an atmosphere that captivated every student. Watching professional athletes up close gave our students a deeper appreciation for teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Learning to Engage with Society Beyond School
But this outing was more than just a sports event.
Being in a massive public venue with thousands of people helped our students experience what it means to be part of the wider Japanese society. Sharing reactions with strangers, navigating crowds, and enjoying the match together allowed them to build confidence and social awareness outside the school environment.
This kind of real-world exposure is essential for international students growing up in Tokyo. It helps them understand public etiquette, communication, and the importance of being responsible members of the community.
Islamic Values: Finding Balance in Daily Life
In Islam, the concept of balance (mīzān) is central—balancing study, worship, healthy enjoyment, and social participation.
This trip became a living example of that balance.
Students enjoyed a fun and uplifting day while staying grounded in Islamic manners and values. They strengthened friendships, practiced good conduct in public spaces, and reflected on the blessings Allah provides.

A Day of Growth, Connection, and Confidence
By the end of the day, students realized that this experience was more than a football match. It was a lesson in:
Community participation
Confidence in public settings
Friendship and teamwork
Living faith through everyday actions
The visit to Nissan Stadium became a memorable step in helping our students grow into confident, responsible young adults who can engage with society while staying true to their values.
