The establishment of IISO High School in April 2025 marked a major milestone in our long‑term vision to provide a complete, values‑driven educational journey for our community. Beginning with Grade 10, and expanding year by year until Grade 12 opens in April 2027, IISO High School represents the next chapter in our commitment to nurturing confident, capable, and principled young Muslims in Japan.
Our high school program was designed with careful planning, community consultation, and a deep understanding of what our students need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Today, IISO High School stands as an innovative, forward‑thinking institution that blends academic rigor, Islamic values, and personalized pathways to prepare students for university and life.

A High School Built for the Future
IISO High School offers a comprehensive curriculum with a strong emphasis on STEM, advanced English and Japanese proficiency, and Islamic Studies. Our approach reflects global best practices in education—encouraging inquiry, critical thinking, collaboration, and personal responsibility.
Students benefit from a learning environment that is:
academically challenging
spiritually grounded
emotionally supportive
culturally inclusive
This balance ensures that students grow not only in knowledge, but also in character, identity, and purpose.
Two Pathways to Serve a Diverse Community
To meet the needs of our multicultural community, IISO High School offers two fully recognized diploma pathways:
1️⃣ Japanese Pathway
Leads to a Japanese High School Diploma, enabling students to pursue higher education through standard Japanese university admissions.
2️⃣ English Pathway
Leads to a U.S. High School Diploma, accepted by universities worldwide.
Both pathways follow a structured, outcome‑based model that ensures students meet clear graduation requirements while receiving personalized support tailored to their goals. This dual‑pathway system allows families to choose the route that best aligns with their child’s future aspirations.
Personalized University Preparation
Every student at IISO High School receives a customized academic plan that reflects their strengths, interests, and university goals. Our preparation model includes:
Academic advising and goal setting
Support for university entrance requirements
Guidance for standardized tests
Portfolio and project‑based learning
Continuous assessment aligned with international benchmarks
This ensures that students graduate with the skills, confidence, and readiness needed for success in higher education—whether in Japan or abroad.

Islamic Values at the Heart of Learning
Islamic Studies remains a core pillar of our high school program. Students explore faith, ethics, and character development in a way that strengthens identity and nurtures spiritual growth. Our aim is to graduate young adults who embody ihsan, integrity, and responsibility, and who contribute positively to society.
