At IISO, our mission is not only to educate minds but to nurture hearts. In alignment with our Islamic values and commitment to holistic development, we regularly invite scholars to engage with our students, staff, and families—offering spiritual guidance, wisdom, and inspiration rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
This September, we were honoured to host Shaikh Mohammad Al Naqvi for a multi-day visit that touched every corner of our school community—from Kindergarten to High School, from classrooms to outdoor spaces, and from students to parents.
From Little Hearts to Young Leaders
Across all grade levels, students participated in age-appropriate sessions filled with:
Inspiring stories from the lives of the Prophets and righteous companions
Interactive discussions on challenges facing youth today
Practical advice on staying firm in faith and navigating modern distractions
Spiritual reminders about the importance of dua, character, and role models
Shaikh Naqvi’s gentle approach and relatable examples made a lasting impression. Whether speaking to preschoolers about kindness or guiding teens on identity and resilience, he reminded us all that Islam is a living, breathing way of life—full of mercy, purpose, and hope.
A Heartfelt Message to Parents
Recognising that true guidance begins at home, Shaikh Naqvi also delivered a special lecture to IISO parents. His talk focused on:
The importance of nurturing Islamic identity from an early age
How to help children choose righteous role models
Practical ways to protect youth from fitna and confusion in today’s world
Parents left the session feeling uplifted and empowered, with renewed clarity on their role in shaping the next generation.

A Day of Brotherhood and Joy
To conclude his visit, Shaikh Naqvi joined our youth for a full-day outdoor picnic filled with laughter, learning, and connection. The day featured:
A delicious BBQ prepared by volunteers
Outdoor games and team-building activities
Informal conversations with the Shaikh on faith, life, and leadership
This gathering allowed students to engage with Shaikh Naqvi in a relaxed setting, deepening their bond with Islamic values and each other.
The Impact of Spiritual Guidance
Shaikh Naqvi’s visit was not just an event; it was a transformative experience for everyone involved. The students learned valuable lessons about faith, resilience, and the importance of community. His teachings encouraged them to reflect on their own lives and the role they play in their families and society.
Building a Stronger Community
The interactions between Shaikh Naqvi and our students fostered a sense of belonging and unity. It reminded everyone that we are part of a larger community, one that supports and uplifts each other. The discussions sparked by his visit will continue to resonate within our school long after he has left.
Continuing the Journey
As we move forward, IISO remains committed to providing opportunities for our students to grow spiritually and emotionally. We will continue to invite scholars and leaders who can inspire and guide our community.
A Prayer for Our Children
May Allah ﷻ bless and guide our children to the straight path, protect them from harm, and grant them success in both this life and the next. May He reward Shaikh Mohammad Al Naqvi for his time, sincerity, and service to our community, and protect him and his family always. Ameen.
Stay tuned for more events and reflections as we continue building a school rooted in faith, excellence, and compassion.
