The IISO Annual Bazaar 2026 was a vibrant celebration of creativity, entrepreneurship, and Islamic values at the International Islamia School Otsuka (IISO) in Tokyo. The event brought together students, parents, staff, and visitors from across the city for a memorable day filled with learning, community spirit, and hands‑on business experience. Months of preparation, teamwork, and dedication culminated in a Bazaar that showcased our students’ talents, leadership, and commitment to serving the community.
As one of the leading Islamic international schools in Tokyo, IISO continues to provide meaningful real‑world learning experiences that strengthen both academic and character development. This year’s Bazaar was designed not only as a marketplace, but as a practical platform for students to learn essential life skills rooted in Islamic ethics.
A Five‑Floor Bazaar Experience at IISO Tokyo
To ensure an enjoyable and organized experience for all visitors, the Bazaar was thoughtfully arranged across five floors of the IISO campus in Otsuka:
High School Food Court – Featuring delicious homemade dishes and beverages prepared by our high school students.
Dining Area – A comfortable space for families to relax and enjoy their meals.
Junior High School Creative Market – Showcasing unique handmade products crafted by JHS students.
Grades 5 & 6 Market – Displaying impressive student‑made crafts, accessories, artwork, and project‑based creations.
Games Floor – Offering exciting activities for children and families, adding energy and fun to the entire event.
Each floor reflected the creativity and hard work of our students, turning the IISO campus into a lively hub of learning, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.
Islamic Values at the Heart of Student Entrepreneurship
The IISO Annual Bazaar was intentionally designed to instill lifelong values that extend far beyond business skills. Students learned how entrepreneurship can be a pathway to personal growth, community service, and Islamic character development.
1. Productivity: Creating With Purpose
Instead of simply selling second‑hand items, this year’s Bazaar emphasized productivity—encouraging students to create meaningful products with their own hands. In a world dominated by consumerism, our students experienced the joy of producing rather than consuming.
From handmade accessories and bookmarks to baked goods, artwork, and crafts, every item reflected the students’ interests, skills, and dedication. They learned that productivity is a foundation of personal success and a valuable contribution to society and the Ummah.
2. Honesty: Integrity in Trade
Students practiced honesty and fairness in every transaction. They learned that trust is one of the greatest assets of a successful entrepreneur, and that Islamic business ethics require transparency, sincerity, and integrity.
3. Cheerfulness & Product Presentation
Students discovered that business success is not only about product quality—it is also about presentation, communication, and customer engagement. They welcomed visitors with confidence, explained their products clearly, and marketed their creations with enthusiasm.
A standout example was the personalized keychain activity, where younger visitors could design custom keychains. The student leading this booth demonstrated excellent initiative, attracting customers with cheerful communication and making the experience interactive and enjoyable.
4. Giving Back: Charity Through Entrepreneurship
In line with IISO’s mission of nurturing socially responsible leaders, students donated 10% of their total sales to charity. They learned that entrepreneurship is not only about personal profit—it is also an opportunity to support others and contribute to the community.
This act of generosity reinforced the Islamic principle that true success is rooted in compassion, service, and giving.
A Real‑World Learning Experience in Tokyo
The IISO Annual Bazaar 2026 was far more than a school event. It was a powerful learning experience where students developed:
Creativity
Leadership
Communication skills
Teamwork
Financial responsibility
Ethical business practices
All while embodying the Islamic values that define our school’s mission: Knowledge, Faith, and Etiquette.
Appreciation & Looking Ahead
We extend our sincere appreciation to all students, teachers, parents, volunteers, and visitors who contributed to the success of the IISO Annual Bazaar 2026. Your support strengthens our mission and inspires our students to grow into confident, productive, and socially responsible leaders.
