About the Event
4th Quran Research Conference - Primary Grades (5 and 6) & Junior High/High School Graders
Quran Research Conference aims to cultivate a deep understanding of the Quran's meaning. And to enhance students' presentation skills, computer proficiency, and self-confidence, particularly in addressing questions posed by the judges.
We welcome participation from both individual learners and collaborative school-based teams, providing diverse opportunities for students to engage in meaningful Quranic research.
1- Conference Themes for Primary Grades:
- Success and Loss in Quran (الفوز والفلاح) (الخسران)
- Allah loves and Allah doesn't love (الله يحب)(الله لايحب)
- No fear concerning them nor will they grieve (لا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون)
- Student's Own Theme
2- Conference Theme for Junior High and High School Graders:
- Call from Allah SWT to Mankind (O’ mankind) or O’ people who have believed.
- Student's Own Theme.
3- Guidelines for Research:
- Students are tasked with finding and analyzing all verses in the Qur'an that support the selected theme.
- Emphasize the importance of understanding the context and linguistic nuances of the verses.
- The research should include a detailed summary, a comparison of relevant verses, and a thoughtful conclusion based on their understanding.
- Encourage students to consider how the chosen theme applies to daily life and personal development.
4- Research Presentation:
- Each participant must design an A0 poster or a PowerPoint presentation to present their research visually.
- Originality and creativity in the presentation are crucial for effective communication.
- Students may present their research in Arabic, English, or Japanese, or a combination of these languages.
5- Submission Requirements & Important deadlines:
- A written summary of the research findings, including a comparison of verses, thoughtful conclusions, and reflections on practical implementation in daily life should be submitted by March 10th, 2024.
- A digital copy or photograph of the A0 poster or PowerPoint presentation should be submitted by March 15th, 2024.
- Students must present their research on March 20th at the IISO building or online through Zoom; further details will be communicated later. For participants on the IISO premises, Iftar will be provided.
6- Evaluation Criteria:
- Accuracy and thoroughness in identifying relevant verses.
- Understanding of the verses and their context.
- Thoughtfulness in summarizing, comparing, and concluding their findings.
- Creativity and originality in the presentation.
- Reflection on practical implementation in daily life.
- Bonus points for multilingual presentations, showcasing a nuanced understanding of the chosen languages.
7- Prizes and Recognition:
Certificates, trophies, or other recognition for outstanding research, creativity, and effective presentation.
8- Grand Finale:
Iftar Party to celebrate with our young Qur'an Conference Stars.
